Ruth Emily Graber Ruth was born in Indianapolis to Magdalena (Wolf) and Edward Messmer. Ruth was a resident of the south side of Indianapolis until 1999 when she moved to Crawfordsville to be nearer family. She was married to William Graber on Feb. 14, 1937. He passed away in 1960. Ruth had worked as a bookkeeper for Hibben's Dry Goods, Stewart Carey and Heidenreich Florists. She enjoyed being a member of Eastern Star, Saenger Chor and Frieden's United Church of Christ for over 50 years. Her survivors include daughters Anita (Russell) Arnold, Crawfordsville and Karen Buck, Colorado Springs. Grandchildren Darlisa (Randy) Steele, Crawfordsville, Cheryl Arnold, Brownsburg, Jeffrey (Lori) Buck and Kenneth Buck, Colorado Springs, 4 great-gandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson survive. She was preceded to Heaven by her parents, husband, son-in-law Robert Buck, grandson Rob Buck and her brother Lorenz Messmer. Memorial will be held Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 at Frieden's United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian, Indianapolis. Viewing from 10 AM-12:00. Celebration of Life Luncheon at 12 Noon. Service to follow. Private burial at Crown Hill Cemetery. At Ruth's request, memorial contributions can be donated to Frieden's. Funeral arrangements by Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
